Norma N. Crum, 95, of Kendallville, Indiana died Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at Parkview Noble Hospital in Kendallville.

She was born July 4, 1928, in Switz City, Greene County to William Henry and Mary Eliza (Wright) Owens.

On August 25, 1946, in Vincennes, she married Ellis J. Crum. He preceded her in death on October 17, 2011.

Mrs. Crum was a homemaker and helped alongside her husband in the family business, Sacred Selections.

She was a member of the Kendallville Church of Christ where she led Women's Bible studies and served in the Children's Ministry. She also volunteered at the Northeastern Center. She enjoyed her time as a missionary to Mexico.

Norma enjoyed crocheting and gardening. Hospitality was important to her, she loved hosting family gatherings, cooking big meals, and welcoming anyone that needed a place to catch their breath. Her family adored her, she taught them well, and her friends knew she was a treasure.

Surviving are three daughters, Cheryl (Bob) Gammon of Bonne Terre, Missouri, Janella (David) Turansky of Fort Wayne, and Beth Crum of Indianapolis; two sons, Jay Crum of Indianapolis and Brent (Pam) Crum of Avon; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers and eight sisters, Verda Owens, Edith Hammer, Clyde Owens, Mildred Smith, Clarence Owens, Margareth Titus, Juanita Erwing, Annabel Basinger, Eva Coleman, and Reba Lee.

Memorial services will be Saturday, June 1, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the memorial services at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery in Kendallville.
