Nichole L. "Nikki" McBride, 52, of Big Long Lake, Wolcottville, Indiana, died Saturday, May 6, 2023, at her residence surrounded by her family.

She was born March 5, 1971, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to Charles and Jeanine (Syndram) Kruger.

On May 25, 1991, she married Randall "Randy" McBride.

She was employed by the Boy Scouts of America in Allen County.

Nikki enjoyed music and was an accomplished cellist. She dearly loved living at the lake and especially enjoyed all wildlife, in particular, her deer, Willow, and swans, Buddy and Misty.

Surviving are her husband, Randy McBride of Big Long Lake; a son, Dylan McBride of Big Long Lake; her mother, Jeanine Stoops of Fort Wayne; two sisters, Michelle "Shell" (David) Haisley of Orland and Julie (JR) Porter of Fort Wayne; two brothers, Bob (Patsy Sharp) Kruger of Cape Coral, Florida, and Bill (Gina) Kruger of Churubusco; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Marvin and Gwen McBride of Big Long Lake.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 11, 2023, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville.

The funeral service will be Thursday, May 11, 2023, at 6 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Donna Holcomb of the Helmer United Methodist Church officiating.

Private burial will be in Covington Memorial Gardens in Fort Wayne.

Preferred memorials may be directed to Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana.
