Obituary

Nicholas Alan "Nick" Beedle, 67, of South Milford died Tuesday, June 12, 2012, at 4:45 p.m. in his residence.

He graduated from Bishop Luers High School in Fort Wayne.

Mr. Beedle served in the the U.S. Navy in 1963 and the U.S. Army from 1965 to 1967.

He retired from Flint and Walling in Kendallville after 32 years.

He was a member of the Catholic Church.

Nick was an outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He played softball, baseball, and basketball in leagues in Kendallville.

He was born March 2, 1945, in Fort Wayne to Clifford and Mary Margaret (Armstrong) Beedle. On July 27, 1968 he married Sandra Kay Dickerson.

Surviving are his wife, Sandra Kay Beedle of South Milford; a daughter, Kristie Fifield of Fremont; a son, Mark Beedle of South Milford; four grandchildren, Lindsey Beedle, Joshua Fifield, Haley Fifield, and Nathan Moon; a brother-in-law, Jerry Dickerson of South Milford; a nephew, John Lankford of South Milford; and a niece, Cathy Deter of South Milford.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be Saturday, June 16, 2012, at 10 a.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville with Fr. James Stoyle of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Kendallville officiating. Burial will be in the South Milford Cemetery.

Honor guard services will be provided by Kendallville VFW Post 2749, Rome City American Legion Post 381, and active duty members of the U.S. Army.

Pallbearers will be members of the honor guard.

Calling is Friday, June 15, 2012, from 5 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home and one hour prior to services on Saturday.
