Ned E. Runyon, 74, of Atwood Lake, Wolcottville died Wednesday, April 4, 2012, at 12:10 p.m. in his residence.

He has lived at Atwood Lake for 28 years, coming from Ohio.

He graduated from Van Wert High School, Van Wert, Ohio. Mr. Runyon retired from United Telephone Company.

He was a member of the Wolcottville United Methodist Church in Wolcottville.

He was born May 21, 1937, in Lima, Ohio, to Reuben and Marjorie (Patterson) Runyon. On January 7, 1956, he married Barbara Smith. She survives at Atwood Lake.

Also surviving are two daughters, Pamela Ehman of Van Wert, Ohio, and Brenda (Leonard) Chapman of Brooks, Georgia; a son Rick (Dee) Runyon of Ohio City, Ohio; ten grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; a sister, Nancy (John) Spellman of Lima, Ohio; and a sister-in-law, Lydia Runyon of Van Wert, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Rolland Runyon.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 14, 2012, at 3 p.m. in the Wolcottville United Methodist Church, 107 West County Line Road, Wolcottville with Pastor Jack Thomas officiating.

Calling will be one hour prior to the service on Saturday, April 14, 2012, at the church.

Preferred memorials are to the Wolcottville United Methodist Church or Parkview Noble Home Health & Hospice.
