Nannie Back, 98, of Wolcottville, Indiana died Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at the home of her daughter also in Wolcottville.

She was born April 28, 1925, in Vest, Kentucky to Harrison and Sylvania (Patrick) Williams.

On April 4, 1946, in Hindman, Kentucky she married John L. Back. He preceded her in death on February 18, 2001.

Nannie had worked at Essex Wire in Ligonier and Topeka before retiring in 1984.

She enjoyed gardening; making peanut butter fudge; and going to WalMart.

Surviving are four daughters, Janice Patrick of Wolcottville, Margie (Steve) Tritch of Angola, Minnie (John) Moreland of Wolcottville, and Aileen (Jerry) McCoy of Oliver Lake; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and seven great great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Myrtle Ritchie; three brothers, Aaron Williams, Silas Williams, Adrian Williams; and a son-in-law, Larry Patrick.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at 12 Noon at Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville with Gunner Osborne officiating.

Casketbearers will be John Moreland, Gene Belschner, Mike Patrick, Jerry McCoy, Les Weinberg, Tom Nelson, Owen Weinberg, and Rick Osborne.

Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery in Wolcottville.

Visitation will be Monday, April 15, 2024, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and one hour prior to the funeral services on Tuesday, all at the funeral home.
