Obituary

Myrten VanBuren Gray, Jr., 94, of LaGrange died Thursday, April 13, 2017, at 3:07 a.m. in Parkview LaGrange Hospital, LaGrange.

He was born November 4, 1922, in LaGrange to Myrten Gray, Sr. and Beaula (Johnson) Gray.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Mr. Gray retired after 30 years from Bendix in South Bend where he was a union representative.

Surviving are three sons, Jerry L. (Sheryl) Gray of Wolcottville, Jim (Marcia) Gray of Florida, and Michael (Dianna) Gray of LaGrange; two daughters, Jacquline (Gary) Garber of Wolcottville and Jenny (Sonny) Ratliff of Fort Wayne; 15 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; a sister, Sharon Piratte of LaGrange; and a brother, Maynard Gray of Sturgis, Michigan.

He was preceded in death by two grandsons, Robert Gray and Richard Gray; two sisters, Lois Henson and Geraldine Walker; and a brother, Pete Gray.

Graveside services will be Monday, April 17, 2017 at 3 p.m. in Woodland Cemetery, Wolcottville.

Honor guard services will be provided by LaGrange American Legion Post 215.
