Funeral services will be Friday, January 23, 2015, at 10 a.m. in Messiah Lutheran Church, Wolcottville. Burial will be in Covington Memorial Gardens at 2 p.m.
Calling is Thursday, January 22, 2015, from 3 to 8 p.m. in the church and one hour prior to services on Friday. ******************************************************************************* Myrta Ann Scott, 80, of Atwood Lake, Wolcottville died Monday, January 19, 2015, at 10:46 a.m. in her residence.
She had lived in this area for 26 years, coming from Fort Wayne.
Mrs. Scott was a registered nurse. She worked in Fort Wayne at Lutheran Hospital, P & S Medical, and retired from the Fort Wayne Medical Education Program.
She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church, Wolcottville and the Ladies Aide.
She was born August 2, 1934, in Gera, Michigan, to Otto Jacob and Linda Hermine (Fischer) Roedel.
On July 7, 1956, in Frankenmuth, Michigan, she married Arthur J. Scott. He survives at Atwood Lake.
Also surviving are a daughter, Sondra (Mike) Shondee of Arizona; a son, Daniel A. (Julie) Scott of Loveland, Colorado; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a brother, Waldo (Bernice) Roedel of Arthur, Michigan.
She was preceded in death by three children, Tia Marie Scott, Jantha Raye Scott, and a stillborn infant; two sisters, Marlott Grueber, and Janice Roedel; and two brothers, Melvin Roedel and Howard Roedel.
Funeral services will be Friday, January 23, 2015, at 10 a.m. in Messiah Lutheran Church, Wolcottville with the Rev. James Tews officiating. Burial will be in Covington Memorial Gardens at 2 p.m.
Calling is Thursday, January 22, 2015, from 3 to 8 p.m. in the church and one hour prior to services on Friday.
Preferred memorials are to Messiah Lutheran Church.
