Myron K. Hill, 74, of Rome City died Sunday, January 27, 2013, at 2:40 a.m. in Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne following an extended illness.

He was a lifetime Noble County resident.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Mr. Hill retired after working production in area factories.

Myron was an avid fisherman. He was best known for his sense of humor and his ability to tell jokes. He also enjoyed writing poetry.

He was born November 23, 1938, in Kendallville to Ralph D. and Dorothy A. (Sackett) Hill.

Surviving are a sister, Maxine J. Bloomfield of Rome City; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Robert L and Joyce Hill of Howe and Edwin L. Hill of Rome City; and numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Douglas Hill and a great-niece, Emily Jordan.

Calling is Wednesday, January 30, 2013, from 2 to 8 p.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville.

There will be no funeral service. Private burial will be in Lake View Cemetery, Kendallville.

Preferred memorials are to Parkview Hospice in Fort Wayne.
