Miriam L. Shultz, 88, of Wolcottville died Wednesday, January 31, 2018, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne.
She was born October 26, 1929, in Miami County to Albert and Elizabeth (Hoover) Leffel.
On January 22, 1950, in South Milford she married Ralph E. Shultz. He preceded her in death on January 18, 1983.
She worked for a few years at Kirsch in Sturgis, Michigan. She and her family farmed and currently own and operate the South Milford Grain Company in South Milford.
She was a member of the Kendallville congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Surviving are a daughter, Susan (Eric) Simanton of LaGrange; five sons, Blake (Tammy) Shultz of Carbondale, Colorado, Mark (Cathy) Shultz of Hudson, Tim (Susie) Shultz of Wolcottville, Gale (Cathy) Shultz of Wolcottville, and Rex (Tammy) Shultz of Hudson; 16 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Hazel Ridyard of Oceanside, California.
She was also preceded in death by five sisters, May DeWald, Evelyn Black, Ethel Lang, Wilma Sanders, and Mary Richardson; and one brother, Walter Leffel.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 6, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville with Jim Charles officiating. Burial will be in South Milford Cemetery.
Calling is Monday, February 5, 2018, from 2 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
