Mindy Darlene Hinkley, 70, of Angola, Indiana, died Tuesday, April 19, 2022. She was born July 3, 1951, in Angola, Indiana, to Albert and Harriet (Weihmiller) Spurgeon. She previously owned and operated Burger's Korntree Acres in Angola. Mrs. Hinkley was a member of Angola American Legion Post 31 Auxiliary. Surviving are two daughters, Julie (Don) Uecker of Roanoke and Erinn (Darren) Carmichael of Garrett; six sons, Micah Burger of Angola, Jason (Kristen Downey) Burger of Mongo, Nolan Burger, Orland, Loren (Allison) Burger of Garrett, Craig Burger of Orland, and Lucas Burger of Fort Wayne; seven grandchildren; a sister, Renee (Dave) Cope of Auburn; a brother, Kevin Spurgeon of Angola; and the father of her children and lifelong friend, Terrell Burger of Angola. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Hinkley; a granddaughter, Coree Elizabeth Carmichael; and a brother, Brian Spurgeon. Private funeral services were held. Burial was in Circle Cemetery near Hudson.
