Obituary

Milton H. Latta, 81, of Branford, Florida, and Kendallville died Friday, November 19, 2010, in Chiefland, Florida.

Mr. Latta had worked as a foundry molder. He was a member of the First Church of God in Kendallville and McCall Chapel in Branford, Florida. He was also a member of the Eagles Lodge in Columbia City since 1985 and a life member of the Moose Lodge in Auburn.

He was born December 30, 1928, in Clay Township, LaGrange County to Harry C. and Zoria (Gooch) Latta. On September 12, 1954, in Noble County he married Dorothy Ella Fike. She preceded him in death.

Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Phillip H. and Brenda Latta of Auburn; 13 grandchildren; one great grandchild; and his loving companion, Leona Friend of Branford, Florida, and Kendallville.

He was also preceded in death by a son, Milton Raymond "Ray" Latta.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 30, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville, with Pastor Jim Kane officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, LaGrange.

Calling is Monday, November 29, 2010, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
