Michelle Lynn Somerset, 54, of Reseda, California, died Friday, July 8, 2022, at her residence. She was born February 27, 1968, in Goshen, Indiana, to Wilbur D. and Sandra L. (Clason) Weaver. She worked as a home healthcare nurse. Shelly enjoyed listening to music and spending time with her family and friends. Her cats were her children, and she loved them immensely. Surviving are three sisters, Beth Beaty of Cape Coral, Florida, Dawn Sanderson of LaGrange, and Melissa (Willie) Riehl of LaGrange; nine nieces and nephews, Seth Riehl, Cody Riehl, Dustin Riehl, Faith Riehl, Emilie Riehl, Brooke Beaty, Anthony Beaty, Ryan Sanderson, and Chad Sanderson; maternal grandmother, Margaret Clason of Warsaw; ten aunts and uncles, Sam (Pat) Rink of Elkhart, Ruth (John) Schlabach of Lyndhurst, Virginia, Leann (Phil) Perry of Saltville, Virginia, Henry Rink of Florida, Steve (Rose) Clason, LeRoy (Ida) Weaver of Shipshewana, Mervin (Joan) Weaver of Nappanee, Mary Jane Bontrager of Shipshewana, Freeman "Fritz" (Norma) Weaver of Mesa, Arizona and Martha Weaver of Shipshewana; and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Wilbur D. Weaver; her mother, Sandra L. Price; her stepfather, Kent Price; paternal grandparents, David and Alice Weaver; maternal grandparents, Christ and Betty Rink and Sam Clason; and several aunts and uncles. Visitation will be Sunday, July 31, 2022, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Maple Grove Church, 806 South Main Street, Topeka, Indiana, and one hour prior to the service on Monday. Michelle's funeral service will be Monday, August 1, 2022, at 10 a.m. at the church with Pastor Jason Gingerich officiating. Casketbearers are Willie Riehl, Seth Riehl, Ryan Sanderson, and Chad Sanderson. Burial will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. at Riverview Cemetery, 2300 Portage Avenue, South Bend.
