Obituary

Mellissa A. "Missy" King, 48, of Albion died Thursday, March 28, 2019, at her residence.

She was born August 30, 1970, in Auburn to Dewaine D. and Patricia A. (Lundy) King.

She attended Stone's Hill Community Church in Ligonier.

Missy had an infectious smile and was the boss of her castle. She will dearly be missed.

Surviving are her mother, Patricia A. Jacob of Albion; her father, Dewaine D. King of Wolcottville, two sisters, Rachel A. Myers of Albion and Janet L. Jacob of Delta, Ohio; two brothers, Randy W. (Paulette) King of Grayling, Michigan and Ryan D. (Sandra) King of Wolcottville; three aunts, an uncle and cousins, Pam and Richard Howell and family of Kendallville, Barbara Jacobs and family of Kendallville, and Florence Smart and family of Sebring, Florida; and her caregivers, Rebekah Rinehart of Albion, Rachel Young of Columbia City, and Lucia George of Fort Wayne.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Cynthia Lynn King.

A graveside service will be held Monday, April 1, 2019, at 10 a.m. at Sweet Cemetery near Albion.

Honorary pallbearers are Randy King, Ryan King, Trent Howell, Tyler Howell, Raymond Gulick, Robert Gulick, and Jerry Longbrake.

Preferred memorials are to the Humane Society of Noble County, 1305 Sherman Street, Kendallville, Indiana, 46755 or to the humane society of the donor's choice.
