"Lynda" (Smith) Blech Napier, 71, of Campton, Kentucky, and formerly of Kendallville died Monday, May 12, 2014, at 7:50 a.m. in Presence Sacred Heart Home, Avilla.
She moved to Kentucky in 1997 from Kendallville.
Lynda retired as a beautician. She had a salon in Kendallville and, after moving to Kentucky, she and her husband opened Little Earl's Convenience Store and Salon in Campton.
Mrs. Napier was a member of the Hampton United Methodist Church in Hampton, Kentucky.
She was born October 29, 1942, in Kendallville to Charles N. "Bud" and Ruth A. (Carter) Smith. Her father preceded her in death on October 21, 2011, and her mother preceded her in death on May 7, 2012.
On March 10, 1997, in Jackson, Kentucky, she married Earl D. Napier. He preceded her in death on June 2, 2010.
Surviving are three daughters, Lyshell, "Shelly" Hiatt of Bella Vista, Arkansas, Lainie (David) Brillhart of Coshocton, Ohio, and Leslie Blech of Auburn; nine grandchildren, Tony Hunter, John Brillhart, Madeline Brillhart, Matthew Brillhart, Cody Hiatt, Caitlan Hiatt, Thomas Poynter, Joseph Poynter, and Taylor McKinley; two great-grandchildren, Noah Hunter and Jonah Hunter; two sisters, Sherrill "Sherry" (Gerald Eash) Vaughn-Eash of Shipshewana and Pamela "Pam" (Van Smith) Hanes of Waterloo; and two brothers, Charles Carter Smith of Waterloo and Kendall Smith of Waterloo.
She was also preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Rex Vaughn.
Funeral services will be Friday, May 16, 2014, at 11 a.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery, Kendallville.
Calling is Thursday, May 15, 2014, from 4 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
