Maxine Gale Boggs, 68, of Wolcottville, Indiana, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Thursday, July 10, 2025.

She was born October 10, 1956, in Dayton, Ohio, to Wilson and Jeanette (Combs) Slone.

On September 26, 1975, in Wise, Virginia, she married Winston Boggs. He preceded her in death on September 12, 2020.

Mrs. Boggs was a homemaker.

Being a home body, Maxine enjoyed crocheting, piecing together puzzles, and playing games on the computer.

Surviving are two sons, Jason (Melissa) Boggs of Wolcottville and Joey (Veronica) Boggs of Sturgis, Michigan; five grandchildren, Derek (Dale) Schrock, Heather (Steven) Hibshman, Jeannie (Brad) Becker, Cecelia Boggs, and Johnny Boggs; five great-grandchildren, Tidus, Reign, Taden, Remi, and Theo; and a sister, Marlene Lynch of LaGrange.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother, John M. Slone.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 17, 2025, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville, where there will be an evening service at 7 p.m. officiated by Pastor Quent Zimmerman. Visitation will also be Friday one hour prior to the service.

Maxine's funeral service will be Friday, July 18, 2025, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Charlie Mosley officiating.

Burial will follow at Woodruff Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Jason Boggs, Joey Boggs, Derek Schrock, Steven Hibshman, Johnny Boggs, and Brad Becker.

Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville is assisting the family with arrangements.
