Max Irvin McConahay, 76, of Hudson died Sunday, October 27, 2019, at Parkview Noble Hospital, Kendallville

He was born March 2, 1943, in Van Wert, Ohio, to Bernard Vincent and Nora Arletta (Fett) McConahay.

Mr. McConahay worked as a building engineer for General Motors in Ohio. He then established his own business, I & R Insulation and Home Improvement in Stroh. He retired from Schrock Builders.

Max enjoyed water skiing, riding bikes, traveling to Florida, and walking on the trails at Pokagon State Park.

Surviving are his significant other, James C. Horr of Hudson; a sister, Donna Ringler of Pleasant Lake; and a brother, Danny (Sharon) McConahay of Van Wert, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Paul McConahay, Dick McConahay, and Larry McConahay

Graveside services will be Friday, November 1, 2019, at 1 p.m. at Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert, Ohio.

Young Family Funeral Home, Hudson-Ashley Chapel, 612 North Main Street, Hudson is assisting the family with arrangements.
