Obituary

Mary M. Spice, 96, of Adams Lake, Wolcottville died Thursday, May 19, 2011, at 8 a.m. in her daughter's home.

Mrs. Spice moved to this area from Defiance, Ohio, in 1967. She retired from Brown's Bakery in Defiance.

She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church, Wolcottville and had participated in the Ladies Aid.

She was born December 31, 1914, in Antwerp, Ohio, to Patrick H. and Lena (Upheil) Sullivan. She married Edward Oelke, and he preceded her in death in 1964. She then married Walter Spice, and he preceded her in death in 1999.

Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Louise and Bob Dunafin of Adams Lake, Wolcottville; a granddaughter, Deb and Craig Weaver of LaGrange; and two great grandchildren, Seth Weaver and Sierra Weaver.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.

Private funeral services will be held in Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville with Rev. James Tews and Rev. Dean Bearman officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Defiance, Ohio.
