Mary D. (Deb) Snyder, born November 10, 1950, was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter and aunt. She passed away peacefully at her home on the evening of December 22, 2012.

Deb was a very creative person and enjoyed painting, crafts, photography, sewing and knitting. She also liked to bowl and travel with her husband, Dave. She was a very family-oriented person and enjoyed spending time with her children and playing with her grandchildren. Deb liked going new places and meeting people and had a way of finding the good in everyone. "Never judge a book by its cover" was her motto.

Deb was a past president of the Kendallville Chamber of Commerce. She was also a past President and Class President of Junior Achievement, a former Rotarian, and a member of the Paul Harris Foundation.

She was the CEO and owner of A-1 Production, Inc. of Kendallville, succeeding her late father, Charles "Ed" Armstrong. She was passionate about her work, and a friend and advisor to those who knew her personally. She was a strong and selfless person, and was always willing to lend that strength to someone who needed it.

Deb Snyder is survived by her husband, Dave; her mother, Mary "Peg" Armstrong; sister, Joyce Brown; brother, Charles "Chuck" Armstrong; and her children, Chris and wife Gretchen Behnke, Darlene Schocke, Erica Snyder, David and wife Debbie Snyder and April Snyder; and her grandchildren Archer and Ryker Behnke, Angela and Braydon Schocke, Sean, Cheyenne and Payden Snyder.

Funeral services will be Friday, December 28, 2012, at 2 p.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville with Rev. Scott Pattison of Trinity Church United Methodist, Kendallville officiating. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery, Kendallville.

Calling is Friday, December 28, 2012, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the funeral home.

Preferred memorials are to the Humane Society of Noble County, 1305 South Sherman Street, Kendallville.
