Obituary

Mary A. Graham, 81, of Steinbarger Lake, Wawaka, died Thursday, June 25, 2026, at her residence surrounded by her family.

She was born June 1, 1945, in Jamestown, New York to Chester and Winifred (Carlson) Atkins.

On February 6, 1970, in Celeron, New York, she married Donald L. Graham. He preceded her in death on February 23, 2019.

She was a dedicated licensed practical nurse who spent many years serving in palliative care in Jamestown, New York. After moving to Indiana, she continued her calling in healthcare as Dr. Ramsey’s nurse, remaining by his side until his retirement, when she chose to retire as well.

She found joy in reading, sewing, and crafting, always creating something with her hands and her heart. Above all, she loved her family deeply. Caring for others came naturally to her, and she spent her life making sure everyone around her felt supported, comforted, and loved.

Surviving are two daughters, Barbara (John Green) Birt of Wawaka, and Cara (John) Sisson of Wawaka; a son, Mark (Debbie Fairbanks) Morton of Jamestown, New York.; nine grandchildren, Jeremiah, Mary, Jessica, Jordan, Nicholas, Adam, Kaylee, Monroe, and Mark; six great-grandchildren, Trinity, Hailie, Amelia, Veronica, Miah, Emerson, and one more on the way; two great great-grandchildren, Jackston and Grayson; a sister-in-law, Cindy Atkins of Chicago, Illinois; and a brother-in-law, Jack Delahunty of Pennsylvania.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, Ronald Morton; a grandson, Jeremiah Birt; a sister, Donna Russell; and two brothers, Rick Atkins and Tim Atkins.

Funeral services will be Saturday, June 27, 2026, at 11 a.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville with Percy Young officiating.

Visitation will also be on Saturday, one hour prior to the funeral services at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Orange Cemetery near Rome City.

Casketbearers will be David Brady, Alan Brady, Mark Morton, Jordan Brit, Nicholas Babyak and Adam Babyak.
