Obituary

Mary Ann Damron, 73, of Shipshewana died Saturday, June 30, 2018, at 6:30 a.m. at Parkview LaGrange Hospital, LaGrange.

She was born March 11, 1945 in Louisville, Kentucky, to Ada and Norma (Williams) Patrick.

On June 24, 1995, in Wolcottville she married Jimmy J. Damron. He survives in Shipshewana.

Mrs. Damron moved to this area 25 years ago, coming from Kentucky. She was a homemaker.

Mary enjoyed walking, going to yard sales, and eating chocolate ice cream.

Also surviving are two stepdaughters, Jonna Damron of Waterloo and Barb (Bill) Mason of Pleasant Lake; a stepson, James (Steve Coats) Damron of Chicago; nine grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Lorraine Howard of Salyersville, Kentucky, Patricia Jackson of Coldwater, Michigan, and Juanita Williams of Betsy Layne, Kentucky; and three brothers, Edward (Avonell) Patrick of Tram, Kentucky, Robert Patrick, of Tram, Kentucky, and Benjamin (Billie) Patrick of Tram, Kentucky.

She was preceded in death by a son, Trampis Sword; a stepdaughter, Patricia Damron; a sister, Sula Burchett; and two brothers, Kenny Williams and Walk Jr. Williams.

Funeral services will be Thursday, July 5, 2018, at 12 noon at Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville with Pastor Harold Gingerich of the Eden Worship Center, Topeka officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Wolcottville.

Calling is Thursday, July 5, 2018, from 11 a.m. to noon at the funeral home.

Preferred memorials are to the family for funeral expenses.
