Obituary

Mary Magdaline Conley, 91, of Wolcottville died Thursday, November 5, 2020, at Peabody Retirement Community in North Manchester.

She was born December 28, 1928, in Hazard, Kentucky, to Samuel and America (Miller) Begley.

On August 19, 1974, in Rome City she married Herbert E. "Herb" Conley. He preceded her in death on March 8, 2015.

Mrs. Conley was a homemaker.

She was a member of the Helmer Independent Baptist Church.

Surviving are three daughters, Jada Owens of Kendallville , Idalee (David) Hughes of Knott County, Kentucky, and Rema (Garrett) Hunter of Knott County, Kentucky; a son, Ray Ritchie of Knott County, Kentucky; three stepdaughters, Hollie Shepherd of LaGrange, Dahlia Newsome of Rome City, and Joyce Lannarelli of LaGrange; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and great great-grandchildren; a sister, Katherine Whitaker of Knott County, Kentucky; a brother, Paul Begley of Ohio; and a special granddaughter who was her caregiver, Mary Ruth Godsey of Columbia City.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Marie Millberg; a son, Zebadee Ritchie; two stepsons, Gary Owens and AJ Owens; three sister, Mahayla, Hester, and Sara; and four brother, Ray, Roy, James, and Zebedee.

Funeral services will be Monday, November 9, 2020, at 2 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville with Pastor Rick Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Orange Cemetery, Rome City.

Pallbearers are Gary Hunter, Dustin Godsey, David Hughes, Josh Tyler, Jessie Fugate, and Travis Wilson.

Calling is Monday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Per the Governor of Indiana, face masks are required.
