Mary Ellen Boylan, 96, of Wolcottville died Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at 6:40 a.m. in Provena Sacred Heart Home, Avilla.
Miss Boylan moved to this area in 1970, coming from Wisconsin.
She worked at Kneipp Springs of Rome City in the therapy department for eight years.
She was born February 6, 1917, in Portage, Wisconsin, to Charles E. and Agnes (Lehan) Boylan.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews, her parish friends at St. Gaspar, and her Amish neighbors and friends.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Catherine Fargo and Sister Mary Roberta; and six brothers, John Lehan Boylan, Peter James Boylan, Charles Edmond Boylan, Andres Joseph Boylan, Matthew Boylan, and Francis Boylan.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, April 6, 2013, at 11 a.m. in St. Gaspar Catholic Church, Rome City with Father Bernard Ramenaden officiating. Burial will be in St. Gaspar Catholic Cemetery.
Calling is Friday, April 5, 2013, from 6 to 8 p.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville and one hour prior to services at the church.
Preferred memorials are to St. Gaspar Catholic Church or donor's choice.
