Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 22, 2014, at 11 a.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel.
Calling is Tuesday, October 21, 2014, from 5 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home. *********************************************************************************** Martin L."Bud" Joyce, 74, of Wolcottville died Sunday, October 19, 2014, at 7:25 a.m. in Parkview Noble Hospital, Kendallville.
He moved to this area 47 years ago, coming from Muncie.
Mr. Joyce honorably served in the U.S. Navy from 1958 to 1963, which was at the beginning of the Vietnam War.
He was a member of the LaGrange American Legion Post 215.
He worked for Pepsi-Cola for 35 years. He started by running a route, was salesman, and ended his career as an account executive.
Bud enjoyed gardening and loved fishing.
He was born December 20, 1939, in Muncie to Martin and Mary (Leonard) Joyce.
On September 21,1957, in Muncie he married Karen E. Swain. She survives in Wolcottville.
Also surviving are a daughter, Penny White of Franklin, Ohio; three grandchildren, Bryan White, Seth Joyce, and Lindsay Joyce; three great-grandchildren, Owen, Mason, and Emma; and a sister, Marilyn Gibson of Muncie.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved son, Alan Joyce in 2006.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 22, 2014, at 11 a.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville with Pastor Rich Secor of Crosspointe Church of the Nazarene in Kendallville and Pastor Harold Gingerich of the Eden Worship Center in Topeka officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Wolcottville.
Pallbearers will be Seth Joyce, Bryan White, Rick White, Larry Ettel, Kris Turvy, and Will Huggins.
Calling is Tuesday, October 21, 2014, from 5 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
Preferred memorials are to Wounded Warriors or to Parkview Noble Hospice.
