Obituary

Martha E. Smith, 72, of Wolcottville died Sunday, April 8, 2018, at 6:56 p.m. at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne.

She was born August 17, 1945, at Luckey Hospital in Wolf Lake to Ray H. and Mary (Favinger) McBride.

On July 17, 1971, in Albion she married Teddy L. Smith. He preceded her in death on October 30, 2005.

Mrs. Smith was a self-employed beautician.

She was a member of the Wolcottville United Methodist Church and the Eastern Star in Albion.

Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Michelle M. and Eric Johnston of Wolcottville; a grandson, Grant Lee Johnston and his fiancé, Kathy Franklin; a brother, David T. McBride of San Antonio, Texas; and a sister-in-law, Peggie Strawser of LaGrange.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, April 22, 2018, at 3 p.m. at the Wolcottville United Methodist Church with Pastor Kevin Dekoninck officiating.

A gathering of friends will be Sunday, April 22, 2018, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the church. An Eastern Star service will be held at 2:45 p.m.
