Funeral services will be Saturday, October 4, 2014, at 11 a.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville.

Calling is Friday, October 3, 2014, from 2 to 6 p.m. in the funeral home and one hour prior to services on Saturday. ****************************************************************************************

Mark L. Root, 53, of Kendallville died Wednesday, October 1, 2014, at 11:40 a.m. in his residence.

He was a lifetime area resident and a 1979 graduate of East Noble High School.

Mr. Root was a machinist at Symmetry Medical in Avilla.

He was a member of Destiny Family of Faith in Kendallville.

He was born March 10, 1961, in Kendallville to Wayne J. and Donna (Vanette) Root.

On May 30, 1987, in Kendallville he married Janet Neff. She survives in Kendallville.

Also surviving are a daughter, Angelia (Brad) Murphy of Kendallville; two grandchildren; his father and stepmother, Wayne J. and Donna (Swart) Root of Kendallville; two brothers, Michael W. Root of Fort Wayne and Charles A. "Chuck" Root of Kendallville; and two stepsisters, Eileen (Don) Bailey of Kendallville and Cindy (Mick) Shaub of Avilla.

He was preceded in death by his mother; and a sister, Mary Beth (Root) Howell.

Funeral services will be Saturday, October 4, 2014, at 11 a.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville with Pastor Mike Albaugh of Destiny Family of Faith officiating. Cremation will follow the service.

Calling is Friday, October 3, 2014, from 2 to 6 p.m. in the funeral home and one hour prior to services on Saturday.
