Graveside services will be Wednesday, September 24, 2014, at 3:30 p.m. at Orange Cemetery, Rome City.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, September 28, 2014, at 4 p.m. in the Kingdom Hall of the Jehovah's Witnesses, 106 East Miller Road, Kendallville. *********************************************************************************************** Marion Gene Wiedman, 74, of Kendallville died Saturday, September 20, 2014, in Lutheran Life Villages, Kendallville.
He was a lifetime area resident.
Earlier this year he moved to Lutheran Life Villages in Kendallville, coming from the Lamplighter in Kendallville. He was a 1958 graduate of Rome City High School.
Mr. Wiedman had worked at No-Sag in Kendallville. In 1985, he started working as a carry-out at Rogers Grocery Store and continued with Scott's Grocery Store in Kendallville until his retirement.
Marion was a faithful employee and a friend to all. He spoke about missing the people at the grocery store after his retirement.
He was born June 12, 1940, in Kendallville to Theodore A. and Jesse Mae (Bell) Wiedman.
There are no survivors.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Thelma Wiedman; and two brothers, Theodore Wiedman, Jr. and Raymond L. Wiedman.
Graveside services will be Wednesday, September 24, 2014, at 3:30 p.m. at Orange Cemetery, Rome City with services conducted by Kevin Stayner of the Kingdom Hall of the Jehovah's Witnesses in Kendallville.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, September 28, 2014, at 4 p.m. in the Kingdom Hall of the Jehovah's Witnesses, 106 East Miller Road, Kendallville.
Preferred memorials are to the Kingdom Hall of the Jehovah's Witnesses in Kendallville.
Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville is assisting with the arrangements.
