Obituary

Marilyn A. Dobmeyer, 77, of Albion and formerly of Wolcottville died Sunday, August 20, 2017, at 8 p.m. in North Ridge Village in Albion.

She was born May 25, 1940, in Kendallville to Paul and Mabel (Vanderbosch) Dobmeyer. They preceded her in death.

Miss Dobmeyer graduated from Wolcottville High School in 1958 and then attended the University of St. Francis in Fort Wayne. She taught at Catholic schools in Huntington and Mishawaka for five years. She retired from Kraft Foods in Kendallville after 35 years.

She was a member of St. Gaspar Catholic Church in Rome City where she served as organist for many years.

Surviving are two brothers and their families, Edward Dobmeyer and Leslie Ward of Atlanta, Georgia and nephews, Samuel and Benjamin, and Doug Dobmeyer and Candi Huber of Chicago, Illinois and niece, Amelia and her partner Christina, and nephew, Paul.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, August 28, 2017, at 11 a.m. at St. Gaspar Catholic Church, 10871 SR 9 North, Rome City with Father Bernard Ramenaden officiating. Private burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Avilla.

Calling is one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.
