Calling: Wednesday, April 3, 2013 - 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. in the funeral home. ********************************************************************* Marijune Ann Allison, 85, of Indianapolis and formerly of Kendallville died Saturday, March 30, 2013, in Community North Hospital, Indianapolis.
She has lived in the Indianapolis area for over 40 years.
Ann graduated from Indiana University in 1956 with a Bachelor in Music Education and Butler University in 1982 with a Master's of Science Degree. She worked in various school systems as a music teacher and also performed playing the oboe in numerous Indianapolis based orchestras including; Footlite Musicals, The Greenwood Community Band, and The Athenaeum Pops Orchestra.
She was born October 8, 1927, in Kendallville to Lloyd and Bessie (Weirick) Allison.
Surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law, Tod Fiandt of Indianapolis and Michael and Beth Fiandt of Indianapolis; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Donna Riehm of Kansas; and a sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Otto Steinhaus of Columbia, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her father, Lloyd Allison; her mother, Bessie Riehm; and her stepfather, Phillip Riehm.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at 2:30 p.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville with Pastor Regan Ford officiating. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery, Kendallville.
Calling is Wednesday, April 3, 2013, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
