Margaret A. Pierce, 61, of Kendallville died Saturday, July 7, 2012, at 9:27 p.m. in Parkview Noble Hospital Emergency Room, Kendallville.

She was a lifetime area resident. Miss Pierce had previously worked at Essex in Ligonier.

Margaret was a member of Kendallville American Legion Post 86 Auxiliary.

She was born September 4, 1950, in Kendallville to John Pierce, Sr. and Patty L. (Baird) Pierce.

Surviving are her mother, Patty L. Pierce of Kendallville; a sister and brother-in-law, Janet M. and Ron Farmer of Kendallville; two brothers and a sister-in-law, John Pierce, Jr. and Twink Pierce of Rome City and Steven Pierce of Kendallville; seven nieces and nephews; and ten great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, a niece, and a nephew.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 10, 2012, at 2 p.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville, with Pastor Barbara Cross of the Rome City United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Orange Cemetery, Rome City.

Calling is Tuesday, July 10, 2012, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the funeral home.
