Obituary

Margaret L. "Peg" Ortstadt, 101, of Davenport, Iowa, and formerly of Kendallville died Saturday, June 23, 2007, in Davenport. She was born December 19, 1905, in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, to Walter & Elizabeth (Riddle) Lang. She worked at The Mode Store in Kendallville, was a member of Tri Kappa and the Daughters of the American Revolution. She has lived in Iowa seven years, coming from Kendallville. She was married in January, 1937 in Pittsburg to Henry Lawrence Ortstadt. He preceded her in death in September, 1987. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Edith "Edie" and Larry Nissen of Bettendorf, Iowa, and Kathrena "Rena" and Jerome Green of Flowery Branch, Georgia; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Graveside services will be Thursday, June 28, 2007 at 2 p.m. at Lake View Cemetery in Kendallville. Preferred memorials are to the Clarissa C.
