Obituary

Margaret Havert, 70, of Wolcottville died Friday, January 27, 2012, at 11:15 p.m. in the home of her son.

She was a lifetime area resident, and a graduate of Rome City High School.

Margaret retired after 36 years from Silgan Plastics in Ligonier.

She was born April 9, 1941, in Fort Wayne to Gerald "Ike" and Eleanor (Gramspacher) Havert. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Bobbie Havert of Wolcottville; Michael Ritchie of Wolcottville whom she raised; five grandchildren, Erik Havert of Wolcottville, Thomas Strine of Reading, Michigan, Kyle Gibson of Montgomery, Michigan, Nicole Ritchie of Kendallville, and Brandon Ritchie of Kendallville.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 31, 2012, at 2 p.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville. Burial will be in Orange Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Havert, Erik Havert, Thomas Strine, Kyle Gibson, Mike Ritchie, Brandon Ritchie, and Andy Burkhead.

Calling is Monday, January 30, 2012, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to services on Tuesday.

Preferred memorials are to the family.
