Obituary

Margaret Ellen Benning, 83, of Westler Lake, Wolcottville passed away peacefully into eternity Monday, July 11, 2011, in North Ridge Village Nursing & Rehab Center, Albion, where she had been a resident the past three years.

She had lived in this area since 1986, coming from Indianapolis. She was a receptionist at the Muncie Clinic in Muncie.

Mrs. Benning was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church, Wolcottville, and was very active in the Vacation Bible School program for many years.

She loved spending time talking to loved ones and friends, helping others, and enjoying life. She enjoyed baking pies, and was always as full as a tick with love.

She was born September 8, 1927, in Franklin County to Albert and Pearl (Alford) Schulte. On September 4, 1954, in Lawrenceburg, she married Kenneth Benning. He preceded her in death in 1996.

Surviving are a son, Marc Benning of Lafayette; two grandchildren, Tiffany and Cameron both of Lafayette; and best friends, John and Bonnie Falls of Westler Lake.

She was also preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.

Funeral services will be Saturday, July 16, 2011, at 1 p.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville with Rev. James Tews of Messiah Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Aurora.

Calling is Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the funeral home.
