Madeleen Wooten, 67, of Rome City died suddenly Monday, December 31, 2007, at 3:16 am in Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne where she had been a patient since early Sunday morning.
Mrs. Wooten had lived in Noble County most of her life, coming from Kentucky. She was a homemaker.
She was born August 23, 1940, in Hazard, Kentucky, to Harrison & Hazel (Ritchie) Sizemore. She married James Wooten on May 23, 1958, in Knott County, Kentucky. He preceded her in death in 1986. For the past 16 years she has made her home with Sherman Robinson. He preceded her in death earlier this year.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Ken & Deb Wooten of Ligonier; three grandchildren, Thomas Wooten of Ligonier, Etosha Wooten of Ligonier, and Jesse Elza of Rome City; four sisters and one brother-in-law, Lori & A.D. Prater of Kentucky, Martha Patrick of Rome City, Peggy Nannenga of Rome City, and Edni Patrick of Kentucky; and four brothers, Ovie Sizemore of Tennessee, Paul Sizemore of Rome City, Arnold Sizemore of Rome City, and Nick Sizemore of Rome City.
She was preceded in death by a daughter Brenda McJunkin.
Funeral services will be Friday, January 4, 2008, at 11 am at the Liberty Freewill Baptist Church in Wolcottville with Rev. Donny Patrick officiating. Burial will be in Oak Park Cemetery in Ligonier.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 3, 2008, from 2-8 pm at the church. Preferred memorials are to the American Cancer Society.
