Obituary

Lynda J. Tackett, 64, of Kendallville died Tuesday morning, February 14, 2008, at her residence with her family at her side.

Mrs. Tackett was a homemaker. She attended Little Flossie Old Regular Baptist Church in Lisbon and Morning Star Old Regular Baptist Church in Belleville, Michigan.

She was born March 10, 1943, in Bay City, Michigan, to Emmons G. and Josephine (Gillen) Miller. She married Walker Tackett in Virginia in 1968.

Surviving are her husband Walker Tackett of Kendallville; three sons and one daughter-in-law, Walker J. Tackett of Richmond, Virginia, Emmons J. and Jessica Tackett of Powhatan, Virginia, and James L. Tackett of Kendallville; three daughters and one son-in-law, Patricia A. VanHoose and Anna F. Pack, both of Paintsville, Kentucky, and Elizabeth A. and Woody W. Mason of Rome City; nine grandchildren; three great grandchildren; her father, Emmons G. Miller of Bay City, Michigan; and two brothers, Mike Miller of Bay City, Michigan and Bill Miller of Goose Creek, South Carolina.

She was preceded in death by her mother, a son, Charles L. Tackett, and a sister, Cathy Miller.
