Loyal William "Bud" Frederick, 99, of Kendallville died Wednesday, March 14, 2012, at 3:40 a.m. in North Ridge Village Nursing Home, Albion.
Mr. Frederick, a lifetime area resident, graduated from Avilla High School in 1932. He was a farmer, and retired from Flint & Walling after 24 years.
He was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Kendallville since the age of 18.
He was born January 20, 1913, in DeKalb County to William Henry and Dortha Pearl (Weidler) Frederick. On October 15, 1969, in Kendallville he married Dessie Durst. She preceded him in death on July 29, 1981.
Surviving are four nieces; three nephews; and three stepdaughters, Donna Jean Ort of Angola, Anna Mae (Kern) Butler of Auburn, and Charlotte Igney of Auburn.
He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Velma Rimmel and Florence Frederick; two brothers, Raymond Frederick and Carl Frederick; a niece; and a stepdaughter, Linnet Hartman.
Funeral services will be Saturday, March 17, 2012, at 11 a.m. in Faith United Methodist Church, 411 East Harding Street, Kendallville with Pastor Steve Bahrt officiating. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery, Kendallville.
Calling is one hour prior to services at the church.
