Obituary

Louis D. Hyde, 61, of Kendallville died Wednesday, October 21, 2020, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.

He was born June 20, 1959, in Auburn to Louis V. Hyde and Onnie Thomas.

Mr. Hyde had worked at Newnam Foundry in Kendallville.

Louis enjoyed watching all sports, but he especially loved Notre Dame. He also enjoyed watching the history channel.

Surviving are his significant other of 30 years, Sandy Taulbee of Kendallville; two daughters ,Brooke Hyde of Kendallville and Jennifer (Darrin) Tipsord of Albion; a step daughter, Amy (Timothy) Bruce of Fort Wayne; six grandchildren, Lavender Bruce, Jeremiah Taulbee, Jarrod Garringer, Janelle Garringer, Jaykob Garringer, and Nicholas Taulbee; two great grandsons, Alexander and Jaxson Strong; his mother, Onnie Thomas of Kendallville; and two sisters, Sue Thomas of Anderson and Leanne Hyde of Wolcottville.

He was preceded in death by his father; and a stepson, Jeremy Taulbee.

Funeral services will be Saturday, October 24, 2020, at 2 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville with Pastor Matt West of Harbor of Love Baptist Church in Kendallville officiating. Burial will follow at Lake View Cemetery in Kendallville.

Calling is Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Honorary pallbearers are Jeremiah Taulbee, Alexander Strong, and Jaxson Strong. Active pallbearers are Tim Bruce, Paul Goings, Josh Caudill, Lucas Caudill, Tyler Caudill, and Jarrod Charles.

Per the Governor of Indiana, face masks are required

Preferred memorials are to the family for funeral expenses.
