Obituary

Loretta Jean Streich, 75, of Topeka, Indiana, died Sunday, April 18, 2021, at her residence with her family at her side.

She was born March 28, 1946, in Auburn, Indiana, to Glenn C. and Edith (Witt) Lower.

Loretta graduated from Angola High School.

On April 4, 1964, in Corunna she married Larry Arthur Streich.

She started her working career as a waitress at the V&A Restaurant in Kendallville. She also worked at Essex Wire in Ligonier, Starcraft in Topeka, Jayco in Middlebury, Tokheim in Albion, and retired from Tite-Lok in Topeka.

Loretta enjoyed her flower and vegetable gardens, working in the yard, cooking, and sewing. She loved all animals, especially her dogs.

Surviving are her husband, Larry Streich of Topeka; a daughter, Linette Streich of Mesa, Arizona; a son, Lynn Streich of Shipshewana; a sister, Priscilla (Scott) Thalls of Stevensville, Michigan; and a brother, Jerry (Polly) Lower of Winona Lake, Indiana.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, April 24, 2021, at 3 p.m. at Lake View Cemetery in Kendallville, Pastor Harold Gingerich will officiate the service.

Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville is assisting the family with arrangements.
