Obituary

Loma Siples, 76, of Kendallville died Thursday, February 28, 2008, at 7:36 pm in Provena Sacred Heart Home in Avilla, where she resided for the past three weeks.

Mrs. Siples has lived in Noble County most of her adult life, coming from Ohio. She was a homemaker.

She was born March 16, 1931, in Middlefield, Ohio, to John and Sarah (Gingerch) Farmwald. On March 16, 1963, in Avilla, she married Dale Eugene Siples. He preceded her in death on May 16, 2002.

Surviving are three stepdaughters and their husbands, Terry and Scott Showen of Kendallville; Judy and Larry Ober of Albion; and Billie and Harry Swick of Wolcottville; and one stepson, David Siples of Kendallville; nine grandchildren; three great grandchildren; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Betty Spencer, Hopedale, Ohio; Sally and Ervin Miller of Farmington, Ohio; Marion Farmwald of Middlefield, Ohio; and Cass and Ervin Byler of Sarasota, Florida; and three brothers and sisters-in-law, Bob and Mary Farmwald of Middlefield, Ohio; John & Rita Farmwald of Sarasota, Florida; and James "Butch" and Eddie Farmwald of Huntsburg, Ohio.

Services will be Monday, March 3, 2008, at 10:30 am at Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville, with Rev. Dr. Dan Barker officiating. Burial will be in Orange Cemetery. Casketbearers will be Chad Showen, Paul Wiley, Donald Siples, Daniel Siples, Ryan Swick, and Logan Swick.

Calling will be one hour prior to the service on Monday. Preferred memorials are to Provena Sacred Heart Home.
