Lois L. Strunk, 93, of LaGrange, Indiana passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at Lutheran Life Villages in Kendallville.
She was born November 3, 1932, in Stroh, Indiana to Russell and Lela (Carlin) Miller.
On December 30, 1960, in Niles, Michigan, she married Robert E. Strunk, Sr. He preceded her in death on May 11, 2017.
Lois worked in nursing at McCray Memorial Hospital in Kendallville in the OB department. After her retirement, she did home health care for elderly people.
Lois and Bob loved to travel on bus trips across the United States. They also enjoyed taking their grandkids camping.
Surviving are her children, Ransom (Janet) Smith, Loretta (Tim) Boyd, and Kent Strunk; stepchildren, Robert Strunk, Jr. and Carolyn Jefferson; 23 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and 17 great great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Anita Miller and Marilyn Sauders; two brothers, Eldon Miller and Darrell Miller; a stepdaughter, Judy Burgi; three grandsons, Aric Smith, Jared Boyd, and Jason Ritchie.
Funeral services will be Friday, May 8, 2026, at 12 p.m. at Five Corners Baptist Church, 2995 E 600 S, Wolcottville with her grandsons, Ben Boyd and Cody Smith officiating.
Visitation will also be on Friday, beginning at 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at the church.
Graveside services will also be on Friday at 3:30 p.m. at Wright Cemetery near Stroh.
Pallbearers will be Alex Strunk, Robert Strunk, III, Tim Boyd, Jr., Luke Boyd, Jordan Boyd, and Andrew Strunk.
Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North is assisting the family with arrangements.
