Obituary

Lloyd L. Easterday, 86, of Leo, Indiana, died Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.

He was born February 26, 1935, in Angola to Samuel Vern and Evilo (McNabb) Easterday.

On August 29, 1980, in Fort Wayne he married Donna (Stage) Miller. She preceded him in death on February 8, 2018.

Mr. Easterday retired as a supply purchasing supervisor for General Telephone in Fort Wayne.

He was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. He served in the U.S. Navy Reserves.

Lloyd enjoyed woodworking, sailing, fishing, camping, and motorcycles. He was a Boy Scout leader while living in Kouts, Indiana.

Surviving are two sons, Eric (Pam) Easterday of Spencerville and Gerry (Mary Ann) Easterday of Huntertown; a daughter, Coleen (Jose) Perez of Elkhart; three stepchildren, Mike (Judy) Miller of Ruskin, Florida, Lynne Hammel of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and Kathy (John) Mason of Battle Ground, Indiana; six grandchildren; four step grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren; a brother, Eugene (Terri) Easterday of Troy, Ohio; his significant other and caregiver, Mary Hostetler of Leo; and the mother of his children, Charlene (McNett) Martin of Grabill.

He was also preceded in death by a sister, Laverne Erbe.

Funeral services will be Monday, September 27, 2021, at 1 p.m. at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, 3365 South Golden Lake Road, Pleasant Lake with Pastor Tamara Gerber officiating. Vocalists will be Erica Dold and Sarah Beth Drew.

Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Casketbearers are Bret Easterday, Thomas Easterday, Patrick Easterday, Tony Perez, Cory Dold, and Patrick Hammel.

Visitation is Monday, September 27, 2021, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church.

Preferred memorials are to Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.
