IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Linda Lee
Jetmore
March 14, 1940 – March 6, 2024
Linda Lee (Wilhelm) Jetmore, 83, of Auburn, Indiana, died Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at her home in Auburn.
She was born March 14, 1940, in Fairfield Center, Indiana, to Clyde V. and Essie Belle (Hathaway) Wilhelm.
She had worked several places through the years, but dearly enjoyed being a homemaker and "Mom" to the neighborhood kids.
Linda played the keyboard and accordion and liked playing for others, which she frequently did while at the nursing home. She also enjoyed doing ceramics, painting, coloring, and word search puzzles. She loved to go to garage sales and eat ice cream with her sister and, according to her family, just eat ice cream anytime. She also enjoyed wintering in Florida and ended up staying in Avon Park, Florida, for five years before returning to Indiana. She was an excellent cook and loved to fix food for everyone. Her family will remember her as being very ornery.
Surviving are a son, Roger (Jenifer) Jetmore of Fremont; three daughters, Brenda Jetmore-Grear of Auburn, Karen (Banner) Kidd of Auburn; and Cindy (Lonnie Koogler) Jetmore-Tompkins of Auburn; a stepson, Jeff (Cindy) Dale of Auburn; 14 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold L. Jetmore on December 3, 2016; a son, Gary Dewayne Jetmore; a stepdaughter, Sherry Brewis; a granddaughter, Laura Kidd-Payne; three brothers, Bobby Wilhelm, Jimmy Wilhelm, and Billy Wilhelm; and three sisters, Joann Fagler, June Phares, and Patty McCann.
Visitation will be Sunday, March 10, 2024, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Hudson-Ashley Chapel, 612 North Main Street, Hudson and on Monday, March 11, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
The funeral service will be Monday, March 11, 2024, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Banner Kidd officiating.
Burial will follow at Fairfield Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Chad Jetmore, Luke Kidd, Brandon Burger, Jr., Coltin Herzog, Dakota Bolton, Blaine Prosser, Jonathon Prosser and Isaiah Tuttle.
