Calling: Friday, February 7, 2014 - 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the funeral home ************************************************************************** Lawrence Lionel Lung, 94, of Rome City died Tuesday, February 4, 2014, at 1:10 a.m. in North Ridge Village Nursing Home in Albion.

He was a lifetime area resident.

He honorably served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Mr. Lung was a member of the Rome City Lions Club. He was also a former member of the Civil Defense Club in Kendallville and the CB Club.

Lawrence enjoyed fishing,playing cards, and word puzzles.

He was born October 20, 1919, in Butler to Arla E. and Golda B. (Foreman) Lung.

On June 29, 1941, in Auburn he married Lanor Ellen "Tiny" Boucher. She preceded him in death on October 20, 2013.

Surviving are a daughter, Sandra Lash of Rome City; a grandson, Clinton Blaising of Rome City; and three great grandchildren, Danielle Blaising, Jeremy Blaising, and Amanda Blaising.

He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Geraldine Rose Lung; and two grandsons, Bryan Blaising and Ryan Blaising.

Funeral services will be Friday, February 7, 2014, at 2:30 p.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville with Pastor Regan Ford officiating. Burial will be in Orange Cemetery, Rome City.

Honorary pallbearers will be Roger Ford, Regan Ford, Bob Kelley, Gordon Lung and Jeremy Blaising. Active pallbearers will be Clinton Blaising, Bob Pridgeon, Joby Morr, Norbert Chester, Ben Castle, and Dan Theis.

Honor guard services will be provided by Rome City American Legion Post 381, Kendallville VFW Post 2749, Kendallville American Legion Post 86, and active duty members of the U.S. Navy.

Calling is Friday, February 7, 2014, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the funeral home.

Preferred memorials are to the Rome City Lions Club or the American Diabetes Association.
