LaVonne Foulk, 95, of Auburn died Tuesday, June 4, 2019, at Miller's Merry Manor in Garrett.
She was born October 25, 1923 in Conde, South Dakota, to James Harry and Emma (Woodard) Lash.
Her family moved to Hudson in 1934, coming from South Dakota.
On March 7, 1942, she married Donald Greenwood. He preceded her in death on June 28, 1951. Then on May 26, 1973, she married Glenn Foulk. He preceded her in death on April 3, 2003.
She had been a beautician in Ashley, and had also worked as a custodian at Angola Middle School and was a typesetter at Moore Business Forms in Angola.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Auburn.
LaVonne enjoyed crocheting, knitting, doing crafts, reading, and traveling. She loved spending time with her family.
Surviving are three sons, Gary (Pam) Greenwood of Butler, Terry (Julie) Greenwood of Waterloo, Jeffrey Filipow of Fort Wayne; and a daughter, Vicki (Gery) Meyer of Auburn; two stepdaughters, Susan Schroeder of Dayton, Ohio, and Nanette Foulk of Coldwater, Michigan; ten grandchildren, Scott Greenwood, Stacy (Dave) Gibson, Michele (Troy) Conrad, Tina (Damion) Wilson, Chad (Nickie) Greenwood, Ami Gomez, Jacob (Elisha) Winebrenner, Kelly (Jeff) Miller, Shannon (Lindsay) Meyer, and Jessica (Chris) Parrish; two step grandchildren, Jason Schroeder and Dawn (Carl) Carlson; 19 great-grandchildren; five step great-grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren; and a sister, Carol (Veryl) Carpenter of Angola.
She was preceded in death by four sisters, Ione Lash, Rhoda Hedglin, Lorene DePew, and Elaine Hartman; and four brothers, Otis Lash, Ormond Lash, Earl Lash, and Gerald "Gabby" Lash; and the father of two of her children, Michael Filipow.
Funeral services will be Friday, June 7, 2019 at 1 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Hudson/Ashley Chapel, 612 North Main Street, Hudson with Rev. Grant Merrell officiating. Burial will be in Circle Cemetery.
Calling is Thursday, June 6, 2019 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to services on Friday.
Preferred memorials are to First United Methodist Church, 1203 E. 7th Street, Auburn.
