Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 11, 2015, at 10 a.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel.
Calling is Tuesday, March 10, 2015, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home. ********************************************************************************** Larry L. Simmons, 78, of Kendallville died Friday, March 6, 2015, at 7 a.m. in Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne.
He moved to this area in 1956, coming from Millersburg.
Mr. Simmons retired from No-Sag in Kendallville after 40+ years.
He was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Kendallville.
Larry enjoyed woodworking, fishing, camping, and playing golf. He was a fan of Colts football and was a follower of all East Noble sports.
He was born October 6, 1936, in Millersburg to Donald and Mary Jane (Likes) Simmons.
On July 29, 1956, in Syracuse he married Phyllis I. Acker. She survives in Kendallville.
Also surviving are three sons, Jeffrey (Bobbi) Simmons of Butler, Patrick (Sue) Simmons of Butler, and Phillip Simmons of Kendallville; nine grandchildren, Tony Bolen, Nathen (Michelle) Simmons, Rebecca Simmons, Stephanie Simmons, Andrew Simmons, Justin Simmons, Tasha Simmons, Shalea Simmons, and Jessica Simmons; and ten great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Brian Simmons; and a brother, Paul Simmons.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 11, 2015, at 10 a.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville with Pastor Steven Bahrt of Faith United Methodist Church in Kendallville officiating. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery, Kendallville.
Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Simmons, Patrick Simmons, Phillip Simmons, Tony Bolen, Nathen Simmons, Andrew Simmons, Justin Simmons, and Baran Kennedy.
Calling is Tuesday, March 10, 2015, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
Preferred memorials are to Faith United Methodist Church, 411 East Harding Street, Kendallville, Indiana, 46755.
