Lala Lou McPherson, 68, of Avilla, Indiana, died Sunday, February 13, 2022, at Parkview Noble Hospital in Kendallville. She was born November 22, 1953, in Sisseton, South Dakota, to Thomas Berry and Arlys Ann (Schafte) Nelson. Ms. McPherson moved to Indiana in June, 2018, coming from South Dakota. She previously worked in the service industry. She was currently a caregiver for her grandchildren. Lala loved football and was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. She enjoyed gardening, playing pool, and cooking. Family was first and foremost in her life. Surviving are four daughters, Felicia (Frank Seibert) McKee of Lakewood, Colorado, Angel George of Avilla, Indiana, Misty (Cliff) Aragon of Denver, Colorado, and Chelsea McPherson of Thornton, Colorado; a son, Chance (Theresa) Fisher of Northglenn, Colorado; 12 grandchildren, James Pegg, Caleb Seibert, Elijah Aragon, Christopher Champlain, Isaiah Aragon, Samantha George, Joselyn Low, Coy Seibert, Sophia George, Jayden Low, Cheyenne Fisher, and Madilyn Fisher; her father, Thomas Nelson of Glendive, Montana; and two brothers, Jared (Becky) Nelson of Beulah, Wyoming, and Justin (Kathy) Tchida of Glendive, Montana. She was preceded in death by a son, Cole McKee; her mother, Arlys Nelson; a sister, Jewell Nelson; and a brother, Bryce Nelson. A celebration of life service will be planned in South Dakota.
