Obituary

LaDonna Sue McConahay, 77, of Stroh, Indiana, died Friday, October 1, 2021, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.

She was born February 11, 1944, in Vest, Kentucky, to Corbet and Sophie (Gibson) Slone.

On June 17, 1961, in Stroh she married Larry McConahay. He preceded her in death March 26, 2013.

Mrs. McConahay retired in 2008 from Prairie Heights Community Schools where she was the food service secretary.

She was a member of the Stroh Church of God.

LaDonna enjoyed crocheting, reading, Bible study, and being with her family and friends.

Surviving are two daughters, Arletta (Jerry) Smith of Angola and Sherry (Kirk) Noll of LaGrange; a son, Timothy McConahay of Hudson; seven grandchildren, Jessica (Justin) Price, Fallon (Mark) Gilbert, Logan McConahay, Amanda ( Aaron Prater) Hasselman, Nicole (Stephanie Fenton) Scott, Brandy (Logan) Hayes, and Kasey (Taylor Bowdish) Noll; 15 great-grandchildren, Reid Hasselman, Sophie Hasselman, Zander Prater, Amaya Prater, Warrick Price, Maverick Price, Finnick Price, Bearick Price, Luke Gilbert, Elijah Gilbert, Raelynn Stanford, Joey Stanford, Ellie Hayes, Grace Hayes, and Colton Hayes; two sisters, Betty (Bill) Tuttle of Hudson and Joeann (Ron) Spade of Angola; and a very special friend, Gary Fisher of Pleasant Lake.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Don Slone.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at 2 p.m. at the Stroh Church of God with Pastor Joe Clark officiating.

Burial will follow at Lake Bethel Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers are Hershel Erwin and Phil Wren. Active pallbearers are Justin Price, Mark Gilbert, Logan McConahay, Kasey Noll, Logan Hayes, and Aaron Prater.

Visitation is Wednesday, October 6, 2021, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the church.

Preferred memorials may be directed to the Stroh Church of God.
