Obituary

Kristina Rene (Yahne) Rodriguez, 50, of Fort Wayne and formerly of Kendallville died Sunday, January 24, 2016, at her residence.

She had lived in Fort Wayne for five years, coming from Kendallville. She graduated from East Noble High School in 1984.

Ms. Rodriguez was a homemaker.

Kristina was a loving mother and enjoyed her dogs and cats.

She was born October 7, 1965, in Sturgis, Michigan, to Jack and Nancy (Probst) Yahne. Her parents preceded her in death on January 8, 1988.

Surviving are a daughter, Courtney Rodriguez of Kendallville; a son, Justen (Amanda) Gerber of Kendallville; two grandchildren, Zaylei Gerber and Hudson Hicks; a sister, Leesa (Kevin) Sturgis of Rome City; two brothers, Jack (Wendy) Yahne, Jr. of Avilla and Greg Yahne of Huntington; an uncle, Robert Probst of Kendallville; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by an aunt, Judy Probst.

A memorial service will be Friday, January 29, 2016, at 1 p.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville with the Rev. Dr. Robert Shriner of St. John Lutheran Church in Kendallville officiating. Private burial will be in Lake View Cemetery, Kendallville.

Calling is Friday, January 29, 2016, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the funeral home.
