Kevin W. Pruiett, 49, of Washington, DC died Sunday, December 5, 2010, in Washington, DC.
Mr. Pruiett had lived in Washington, DC for 20 years, coming from Fort Wayne and Decatur, Illinois. He was a Senior Associate with David Jones Architects of Washington, DC, where he had worked for the last 15 years.
He was a graduate of Snider High School in Fort Wayne. He earned a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, and a master's degree in architecture from Catholic University.
Kevin enjoyed anything beautiful. He particularly enjoyed building architecture, flowers, and wildlife. He liked to travel, and dearly loved his brothers and sisters.
He was born February 20, 1961, in Alton, Illinois, to Wayne and Patricia (Vogt) Pruiett. His parents survive in Kendallville.
Also surviving is his partner, Dr. Rick Pollock of Washington, DC; five sisters, Beth Pruiett of Champagne, Illinois, Kathy (Steve) Ammon of Schaumburg, Illinois, Mary (Tom) Dickson of Warren, Lisa (Steve) Summers of New Albany and Melanie Motsinger of Fort Wayne; three brothers, John (Cheryl) Pruiett of Midland, Michigan, Gordon Pruiett of Cresthill, Illinois, and Keith (Kate) Pruiett of Naperville, Illinois; 21 nieces and nephews; and one great niece.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, December 13, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Kendallville, with Father James Stoyle officiating. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery, Kendallville.
Calling will be Sunday, December 12, 2010, from 4 to 8 p.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville.
Preferred memorials are to the donor's choice.
