Obituary

Kerry B. Spradlin, 39, of Greenwood, died on Friday, February 20, 2009, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Kerry was a graduate of Westview High School in LaGrange County and attended Florida Southern College, where she attained a bachelor's degree in communications in 1991. She was a registered lobbyist in the banking industry and served as Public Affairs Manager for Irwin Financial Corporation in Columbus, IN, as well as Vice President of Government Relations for the Indiana Bankers Association. She was a former president of the Indianapolis-Marion County Library Board. On February 10, 2009, she received a Distinguished Hoosier award issued by Govenor Mitch Daniels.

She was a beloved cherished daughter, a dear kind-hearted sister, a dedicated loving mother, a supportive loving wife, and a special friend to so many people.

Survivors include her husband, Terry Spradlin of 16 years of Greenwood; her children, Joshua Michael and Abigail Reagan Spradlin; parents, Ralph and Marilyn Wilt of Wolcottville, IN; brother, David Wilt of Tucson, AZ; sisters, Deborah (Michael) Barrett of McCordsville, IN, Elizabeth Shaw of Leo, IN, and Julie (Curt) Castetter of Jacksonville, FL; and several nieces and nephews.

Rev. Andrea Leininger will conduct a funeral service at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, February, 24, 2009, in Mount Pleasant Christian Church, 381 N. Bluff Road, Greenwood. Friends may call from 6:00 -9:00 pm on Monday, February 23 at the church & from 10:00-11:00 am on Tuesday, February 24 at the church.

Rev. Jack Thomas will conduct a funeral service at 11:00 am on Wednesday, February 25 in the Wolcottville United Methodist Church, 109 W. County Line Road, Wolcottville, with visitation from 10-11:00 am at the church. She will be laid to rest at Woodland Cemetery in Wolcottville.
