Obituary

Kenneth James Barden, 59, of Wolcottville died Sunday, August 1, 2021, in Kendallville.

He was born July 16, 1962, in Morenci, Michigan, to Gaylord Barden and Yvonne (Church) Payne. His parents preceded him in death.

Kenny enjoyed fishing and hunting. Story-telling was one of his favorite past times.

Surviving are a daughter, Kayla Merriman of Kendallville; a son, Kenny (Caitlin) Barden of Wolcottville; five grandchildren, Mason, Drayden, Koen, Adalynn, and Arrington with one more on the way; three sisters, Laenise (Chris) Arnett of Avilla, Bonnie (Paul) Culley of Indianapolis, and Connie Barden of Kendallville; and a brother, Gayle Barden of Wolcottville.

Funeral services will be Friday, August 6, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville with Pastor Billy Smith officiating.

Burial will follow at Orange Cemetery near Rome City.

Visitation is Thursday, August 5, 2021, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
